ABOUT
The pandemic has added a tremendous burden to our hunger problem in the US. According to Feeding America, 1 in 6 households are experiencing food insecurity in 2021.
For those living with food insecurity and food intolerance, this adds an extra layer of challenges. Foods for special diets cost more and are not available at many local grocery stores.
This year, I added the #EndHungerPain initiative to my #IBelieveinyourStory goals.
As part of the #EndHungerPain initiative, we will embark on a 6-day east coast tour and month-long social media campaign in April 2021 to raise awareness of the rising rates of food insecurity in the US and the disproportionate impact it can have on people living with food intolerance. We aim to bridge the gap between industries that create foods for special diets and distribution methods to get these foods in the mouths of people that need them most.
A big thank you to our Gold sponsor, FODY Food co and our Silver sponsor, Schar Gluten Free.
